Senator Robin Padilla still has no idea where his friend Senator Ronald Dela Rosa is.
After being spotted with the senator’s wife Nancy in Davao City, Padilla clarified that his recent trip was simply for a restaurant opening, not for any ‘bato’ rendezvous.
Padilla and wife, Mariel Rodriguez, earlier attended the opening of Mañgan Tamu ng Pidoks in Davao, where they were photographed with Nancy Dela Rosa, the senator’s wife.
“Gumawa na naman sila ng ikakagalit ni Darna sa akin. Wala sa akin ang bato!” Padilla said in an online post, apparently referring to artist Angel Locsin’s Darna.
“Carding Sungkit ang pangalan ko, hindi Ding! Nag-cutting ribbon lang kami ni Mariel rito sa Davao City para sa Mañgan Tamu ng Pidoks,” he added.
Dela Rosa’s wife earlier shared snapshots from the restaurant opening, expressing delight at seeing the Padilla couple.
“Congratulations Mangan, DGT on your opening. Such a pleasure seeing you my dearest Mariel Rodriguez Padilla and Sen Robin Padilla. No words to express. Hugggggss are more than enough. Enjoy Davao,” she said in a Facebook post.
Dela Rosa has been out of sight since he left the Senate last May after voting for a change of leadership. The former police chief faces an arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court (ICC) concerning his role in former President Rodrigo Duterte’s drug war.
Padilla claimed he already filed a counter-affidavit to the Office of the Ombudsman in response to an obstruction of justice complaint tied to Dela Rosa’s alleged escape from the Senate.
