Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco is doing a great job in promoting the country’s tourism sector, as far as First Lady Liza Marcos is concerned.
Marcos gave a huge shout-out to the former Liloan town mayor for her hard work and sacrifices all driven by her love for the country.
The two women were together during the International Health and Wellness Tourism Congress hosted by the country this week. The forum was a chance to highlight the country as a destination for health and wellness, culture, and hospitality.
“Daghang salamat to our Tourism Secretary who TRULY Loves The Philippines 🇵🇭❤️,” the First Lady said.
“From one lawyer to another — I’m really PROUD of what you’ve done and what you’ve sacrificed for ❤️ of country! 🇵🇭 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘢 𝘴𝘢 𝘉𝘢𝘨𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘴! 🇵🇭” she said.
Frasco, an Ateneo law graduate, is the daughter of Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia. She previously served as the spokesperson of Vice President Sara Duterte before joining the Marcos Cabinet in 2022.
Frasco, meanwhile, showcased the country’s unique brand of wellness during the health and wellness forum held in Taguig City.
The local wellness brand blends traditional healing practices with world-class medical, aesthetic, and dental services, she said.
“With the theme Aruga, we highlight the Filipinos’ inherent capacity for compassion and care, nurturing health, body, mind, and spirit,” she said.
“Bringing together delegates and buyers from 38 countries, the Congress promotes the immense potential of the Philippines as a preferred destination for health and wellness tourism amidst the backdrop of our stunning natural assets, vibrant culture and traditions, unparalleled hospitality, world-class facilities, and competitive pricing,” she said.
